Wilson Mobilises 10,000 Bayelsans To Receive Diri Into APC

A chieftain of the APC in Bayelsa State, Chief Reuben C. Wilson is mobilising about 10,000 Bayelsans to join him in receiving the state governor, Senator Douye Diri, into the APC.

Last month, Wilson had staged a solidarity rally in the state capital to push support for the president.

The former Niger Delta freedom fighter organised the rally under the banner of his socio-political organisation, the Pastor Reuben Initiative For Good Governance and Accountability, PRIFGLA.

On Monday, when Diri will be expected to join the APC, PRIFGLA will be leading the mass movement across Yenagoa, as they welcome the governor to the party.

In an interview on Friday, Wilson said he was glad to have the governor in the APC.

“This is a dream come true. We have been longing to have this state under the APC, and now, the dream has become a reality.

“The coming of Governor Diri will bring a lot of good things to Bayelsa from the centre. The governor has made the best choice by joining the progressives.

“I am particularly excited that with his coming, the leadership crisis in the state is going to be resolved automatically.

“This is why my organisation is mobilising about 10,000 of our followers across party lines, people who believe in accountability and good governance, to receive the governor.”

Wilson, who said Diri was doing well for the state, urged all Bayelsans to continue to support him to enable him do more for the state, now that the state has been initiated into the progressive movement.
