Tompolo, UNIUYO Gov Council Member Partner For Pro Tinubu Rally In Yenagoa

Yenagoa, the Bayelsa State capital, will on September 27 this year, experience a literal shutdown as High Chief Government Ekpemupolo partners another former Niger Delta freedom fighter, Chief Reuben Wilson, to organize a road show in solidarity with the president, Bola Tinubu.

Wilson, a member of the University of Uyo governing council, is the president of the Pastor Reuben Initiative For Good  Leadership And Accountability, PRIFGLA, and also coordinates The Asiwaju Group, TAG, in the south-south. He used the two groups to rally support for Tinubu in 2023.

The planned rally aims to galvanise support for Tinubu amidst attacks by the opposition, that the president is a failure and his policies hurting.

Wilson told TNN in an interview that the rally was necessary to shore up support for the president and to also correct misinformation in the public domain concerning the performance of the president.

He said: “The rally we are talking about is being organized by my organization, PRIFGLA, in partnership with TAG and the godfather, Tompolo. It will take place in Yenagoa. We are doing this to show solidarity with the president who has done very well in the last two years.

“We are not saying that it has been all rosy. But the point is that Mr president has shown capacity in leadership and accountability. He has performed well and his reforms are beginning to yield fruits everywhere.

“We campaigned for and supported him to win in 2023. Two years have passed and we can say so far, so good for Mr President’s leadership. We will hit the streets of Yenagoa in our colours and paint the town blue.”

Take off point for the rally will be the national secretariat (PRIFGLA), Winners Junction, Etegwe and will terminate at the Kpansia Secondary School field, Yenagoa.
