Eight Commissioner-nominees will on Tuesday, appear at the Hallowed Chamber, Rivers State House of Assembly, Auditorium, Admin. Block, Rivers State Government House, Port Harcourt.
They are Mr. Prince Charles O. Bekee, Mr. Collins N. Onunwo, Mr. Solomon Eke, Sir. Dr. Peter N. Medee, Mr. Elloka Tasie Amadi, Mr. Basoene Joshua Benibo.
Others are Mr. Tambari Sydney Gbara, and Dr. Ovy Orluideye Chinendum Chukwuma.
The house members loyal to the governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara and led by the factional Speaker, Victor Oko-Jumbo, invited them for screening and confirmation as a member of the state executive.
This is coming shortly after the commissioner for education, Prof. Chinedu Mmom, Housing, Dr. Gift Worlu, Environment, Austen Ben-Chioma, Social Welfare-Inime Aguma and Transport-Jacobson Nbina, resigned.
The commissioner-nominees are to fill the vacuum created by the commissioners loyal to FCT Minister, Chief Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, following their resignation.
A release by the Clerk of the House, G.M. Gillis-West, revealed that the nominees are expected to come along with twelve sets of their Curriculum Vitae and, the originals and photocopies of their credentials.
