Bayelsa CP Tasks Igbos On Peace

The new commissioner of Police in Bayelsa State, Uche Anozie, has urged Igbos in the state to maintain peaceful disposition as they continue to partner on security issues.
The CP made this appeal when leaders and members of the Ohanaeze Ndigbo/Igbo community paid a courtesy visit to him in his office.


AKIRS Seals Off Ecobank, Union

The Akwa Ibom State internal Revenue Service, AKIRS, has sealed off all Ecobank and Union Bank branches  in the state, over unpaid taxes running into millions of naira.
The zonal offices of both banks were sealed on Friday after the state government agency acquired an exparte order tagged to shut down the banks.


Ex – Militants Proffer Solution To Sea Piracy In A'Ibom

The Akwa Ibom State Ex – militants Leaders Forum has offered to assist the state government in combating the worrisome activities of sea pirates in Akwa Ibom territorial waters.
The group, in a meeting held in Oron on Friday called on the state government to utilize the experience of former militants from the state partner security agencies in putting a permanent stop to the menace of sea pirates.
