Why We Have Less Insecurity In Omagwa – Paramount Ruler

Like many other communities in Ikwerre Local Government Area of Rivers State, (KELGA), Omagwa community had, in the past had its fair share of insecurity, violence and criminality. Recently however, there has been a relative change for the better, especially within the last two years or so. Achieving this feat and aiming to surpass it has hinged on several factors prominent among which is the leadership style of the newly recognised paramount ruler of the community, HRH, Eze Achinike Amadi. Akwa Savings and Loans: The Expected Boom

The story of Akwa Savings and Loans Limited is likened to a healthy child who after eating poisoned food, relapsed into coma and was taken to an intensive health care unit only to be revived by a team of competent medical personnel. The same scenario played out in the bank owned by Akwa Ibom State Government, whose sickness was caused by poor management and huge indebtedness by some of its customers. Yet, the state government promptly intervened by setting up capable board of directors and management team that injected life dosages to the ailing financial institution, thus giving hope to customers who were daily frustrated in withdrawing their hard-earned money.

Will This Be Ayade’s Last Public Gyration?

What happened in Calabar on Friday, October 8 was not just strange but also shocking. About a month before that day, Prof Ben Ayade, governor of Cross River State had been away from the state. Of course this is no news, especially for close followers of the activities of the governor. He dashes out of the state from time to time, either in search of investors within and outside the country, or to seek collaboration with like minds, on how to move the state forward. The search for investors sometimes keeps him out of the state for as long as three months running. He loves his state dearly. He loves his people dearly.
