Don’t Die In Silence, Human Rights Commission Tells Nigerians

The National Human Rights Commission, South South zonal office, Port Harcourt celebrated her anniversary on Monday with a road walk, just as they used the opportunity to challenge members of the public to always reports cases of abuse to the commission instead of dying in silence.

South South zonal coordinator of the commission, Mrs Chinwe Okoroji told TNN in an interview after the road walk that the essence of the celebration was to enlighten the public on the duties of the commission.

Udom Takes Fight Against Late Ime Umanah To Appeal Court

Not satisfied that the late Dr Ime Umanah floored him at an Akwa Ibom State High Court sitting at Okobo, the state government has approached the court of appeal for reprieve.

The state commissioner for justice, Mr Uwemedimo Nwoko told TNN over the telephone that the government was not satisfied with the ruling of the court and therefore decided to appeal against the judgement.

Ndoma-Egba: God’s Hand Is On Owan Enoh’s Guber Candidature

Governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress in Cross River State, Senator John Owan Enoh has said his campaign will be issue-based and that the governorship election in the state would be a keen contest between the candidates.

This is coming just as the chairman of the NDDC, Senator Victor Ndoma-Egba has stated that the emergence of Senator John Owan Enoh was divine.
