Premier League Season Resumes August 10

The 2018/2019 Premier league will be the 27th season of the top English professional premier league for association of football clubs in England since its establishment in 1992.

The new season will commence on Friday, August 10, 2018 with an opening match between Manchester United and Leicester City, and it is scheduled to end on May 12, 2019, when 10 matches will be played.

Fixtures for the 2018/2019 English professional premier league season were announced on June 14, 2018.

Manchester City, a team tutored by Pep Guardiola, are the defending champions , whereas Wolverhampton Wanderers , Cardiff City and Fulham join as the promoted clubs from the 2017/2018 English professional premier league championship. They replaced WestBrom Albion, Swansea City and Stoke City which were relegated to the 2018/2019 EPL championship.

No fewer than 20 teams will compete in the league- the top 17 teams from the 2017/2018 season, and the teams promoted from the EPL championship.

The first set of matches in the glamorous league will be played on Saturday, August 11, 2018.
