I'm Angry With Akpabio For Imposing Udom On A'Ibom People -Ex- Commissioner

In a no-holds-barred interview with NSIKAK EKANEM, Prof Etok Ekanem, who was a university teacher before he was appointed commissioner by the immediate past governor of Akwa Ibom, Godswill Akpabio, submitted that Akpabio has taken a ride on the people of the state for allegedly imposing Governor Udom Emmanuel on them. He also dwelt on why some of Akpabio's former appointees have fallen out with the Senate Minority Leader and on cries of marginalization by some segment of the state.

Wike's Amnesty And The Prospects For Peace In Rivers State

Since the announcement by Rivers State governor, Nyesom Wike, to grant amnesty to militants, cultists and other purveyors of violence in the state, reactions have assumed a nostalgic hue across the state. While some welcomed it with the hope that it would assuage the wave of violence that has bedevilled the state in recent times due to politics, others condemned it in its entirety, accusing the governor of attempting to provide a veiled cover for criminals and political thugs who helped his party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) win the 2015 general elections.
