There can hardly be anyone as controversial as Richard Kpodoh in Bayelsa State. The air around him speaks to controversy. Before his appointment as State Security Adviser under the regime of Chief Timipre Sylva, he was involved in many controversial issues. While in that office, he was controversial. After he left the office, he became even more controversial.
There is hardly anyone in the government of Bayelsa State, that Kpodoh, popularly called Pererich, did not fight. He fought Dr Goodluck Jonathan when he was governor of Bayelsa State. He fought him when he became president.

He fought Sylva who was once his boss. He fought Seriake Dickson while he was governor of Bayels State. He fought Senator Douye Diri even now that he is the governor.
Pererich was like jigger. Remember that tiny thing that would suck your blood and yet, would make you have some sensational feeling of sweetness? Pererich was an enigma. Politicians loved to hate him.
