C’River: From Cultural Festival To Ayade’s Second Term Rally, Naira Rain

Anyone would have concluded that the Saturday, September 30, main event of the 3-day Northfest was a political rally. And such conclusion could have been apt, considering the political ambience that pervaded the sprawling foreground of the burgeoning rice mill on Igoli-Okuku  road, Ogoja, venue of the event. Posters heralding guests to the maiden Northfest and banners proclaiming support for Governor Ben Ayade's 2019 bid were all over the venue.

After Calabar Carnival, C’River Offers New Tourism Festival

Members of the Committee set up to organize the maiden NorthFest cultural festival addressed the media, including TNN, in Calabar about the event coming up on September 30 in Ogoja, Northern Cross River. Four of the members comprising the Commissioner for Information, Mrs Rosemary Archibong; the Chairman of the Committee, Chief Peter Oje; Ken Aklah, SA Events Management , Governor's office; and Ntufam Ekpo Okon shared their views on the festival.
