Thursday, October 12, 2017 saw the flag-off of the Bonny/Bodo road project by the vice president, Professor Yemi Osinbajo at Bonny Island, Rivers State. The project, which was conceived 44 years ago by the first governor of Rivers State, Alfred Diete-Spiff, and approved by the then head of state, Yakubu Gowon, but yet to be delivered, having been neglected by successive administrations, was being given a new lease of life by the President Muhammadu Buhari led administration.
