The Ferdinand Anabraba-led anniversary committee says over N1 billion of the target is already in the kitty of the state, with more donations still being expected from both the public and private sectors in support of the event which peaks on May 27.

Serial Deaths In Bayelsa Shock Dickson

Bayelsa State governor, Henry Seriake Dickson has expressed his regret and shock over the death of the chairman of the Aleibiri Elders' Forum, Chief Dennis Daunimigha, who passed four days ago, coming at a time that the governor is also mourning the passing away of the first military administrator of the state, Navy Captain Philip Ayeni.
