STAKEHOLDERS RESOLVE TO REVIVE GOKANA UNITED AND STADIUM.

Key Stakeholders present during the marking of the third Gokana Football Stakeholders Summit, held Thursday, August 8, 2019 has successfully deliberated on critical Matters bothering on the Smooth Running of Football in Gokana Kingdom.

The Summit which was held at Gberesaakoo Hall in the Local Government was to deliberate and make resolutions that will help revive Gokana in the area of sports.

Speaking during the summit, the newly appointed chairman of the Gokana Contact and implementation Committee, Amb. Solomon Lah described Football as a major panacea for Peace and Development in Gokana, he said; “I am very delighted for this development, it is indeed welcomed, you see, Football is an essential approach to ensure peace and development in Gokana”.

“I want to quickly appeal to all sports loving sons and daughters in the area to return to work as members will henceforth continue in training youths and engaging them in State and National Competitions.

The Gokana Stakeholders meeting also reached an agreement for the merger of the two factions of Gokana; All Stars led Vasco and that of Stephen Damabel. Members from both factions applauded the initiative and agreed to train together.

Meanwhile, chairman of the committee; Solomon Lah and the Secretary, Martins Giadom were instructed to as a matter of urgency reach out to relevant authorities, especially the Gokana Local Government Chairman on how to revive Gokana United and fixing of the Gokana Township Stadium.
