An international Non Governmental Organization, Network Advancement Programme for Peace and Risk Reduction, NAPRR, has urged the state governor, Udom Emmanuel to support the local government autonomy and go into partnership with the local government councils for impactful development of the grassroots.
President of the group, Al Mustapher Emem Edoho who made the call in an exclusive interview with our correspondent said the only way to attract meaningful development to the grassroots was partnership between the state government and the local authorities.
He however poured encomiums on Udom for his strategic economic development plans for the state, like the industrialization agenda, the Ibom Deep Seaport Project and the latest Ibom Airline.
According to him, the projects would accelerate rapid socio-economic progress and growth in the state by creating jobs and boosting the state economy.
While congratulating the governor on his success at the polls for a second term, his subsequent inauguration and successful constitution of his second term cabinet, he called on political gladiators, especially the opposition elements, to close ranks and encourage him to dive the state the desired destination.
