Two Injured As Driver On Call Slam Into Pedestrians

A ten year old boy and man in his late forties almost met their end yesterday, June 5th, 2019 when a lady-driver ran them over at the Mayne Avenue in Calabar, the capital city of Cross River State.

Speaking with TNN correspondent at the scene of the accident, eye witnesses holds that the accident that left the victims in a sorry state, was as a result of the fact that the lady-driver while on high speed was answering a phone call at the same time.

TNN gathered that she had lost control of the vehicle before hitting the pedestrians.

The driver was said to have knocked down the ten year old boy, the man with a Toyota Camry having plate number AR254-CAL.

As at news time, the injured boy was rushed to an unidentified medical center for immediate treatment while the other victim was receiving treatment in a nearby Pharmacy along Mayne Avenue.
