Joy, Sadness As JAMB Candidates Check Results

It has been a combination of joy and sadness since Saturday, when the Joint Admissions Matriculations Board released results of the last examinations. In Rivers State, while some are happy that they did well, others were not excited that they either failed or did not see their results at all.

Chike Ibe, in an interview with TNN said "I am so happy that the result is released, though it was said that 76 or so centres have been cancelled and some have low scores. Regardless,I am still happy because at least now, everyone knows where he or she stands".

Jessica Chuks who also spoke on the issue said "I am so glad that it has been released. I just checked my result and it was good; so I am happy but I also pity those whose results were cancelled, but it is still better because at least now they know where they stand. I just wish JAMB can give them a chance to resit for their exams".

One of the candidates who would not want his name in print said he was among those candidates that their centre results were cancelled. "I am really sad because I am a victim of one of the cancelled centres but at the same time glad because at least now I know where I stand but I just wish JAMB will give us a chance to resit.”
