2019: Group Congratulates Ayade As PDP Guber Candidate

An influential Southern Senatorial political group known as Seven Alive has congratulated Cross River State Governor, Prof. Ben Ayade on his emergence as the

standard bearer of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) at the just concluded governorship primary. The group in a statement issued in Calabar by its leader, Chief Asuquo Ekpenyong, attributed Ayade's victory to his credible performance in office in just three years.

He said the outcome of the primaries was, therefore, an affirmation of the governor's popularity and acceptability by the people because of his people-oriented policies.

He lauded the governor for what he described as his transformational leadership style, which has seen to the construction of industries across the State.

Ekpenyong who applauded the governor's spirit of enterprise hinted that some of the industries like the Calabar Garment Factory and the Rice Seeds and Seedlings Factory have employed a good number of Cross Riverians.

Assuring the governor of their unalloyed support during the general election, Chief Ekpenyong said: “Seven Alive is satisfied with the performance of Ayade so far and we know that it can only get better if he continuous in office.  We are therefore, committed to ensuring that we mobilize everyone in the Southern Senatorial District to support the reelection of this good man, Ayade,  to enable him complete all his lofty initiatives which we are very convinced will improve the lot of our people.”

He urged the governor to remain focused in delivering the dividends of democracy to the citizenry, adding that “Cross River is a PDP state and we will deliver him again come 2019 to complete his good work."
