Uyo Church Collapse: Engineer In Trouble

One year after the collapse of the Reigners Bible Church in Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State government is determined to bring to book all offenders that contributed in any way to the tragedy.

Udom made the position of government known during presentation of ₦300m cheque to all the hospitals that treated victims of the December 10 2016 calamity that occurred during the Bishopric ordination of the Founder of the Church, the Rev. Akan Weeks the governor while appreciating the hospital management for their patience said the recommendations would be implemented to the letter.

Investigations reveal that the report which was submitted to the governor last year indicted the engineers that supervised construction of the collapse building.

But the governor did not say if the founder of the church, Akan Weeks  who was at the center of the storm, would be punished alongside other professionals who contributed to the tragedy.
