C’River Agency Moves To Construct Another Bridge In Boki

Cross River State governor, Prof. Ben Ayade, has directed the state rural development agency, RUDA to construct a bridge to link Kakwagom Osokom with other communities in Boki Local Government Area of the state.

Director-General of RUDA, Ntufam Okon Owuna, said the agency would begin work at the Kakwagom Wan Nwup bridge site immediately. He said the directive came as a way of cushioning the hardship currently being suffered by the people following the collapse of the bridge that linked the communities, owing to the flood.

Owuna described the flood as "unusual" and noted that by the time the bridge is officially commissioned and put into use, the people would forget the trauma they have undergone in the recent past.

He thanked the people for the cooperation and support they accorded both the government and the contractors whom he said, confirmed during one of his visit to the bridge site that the people of Boki were truly hospitable.
