In a bid to boost the economic wellbeing of Bonny Local Government Area, about 520 empowerment opportunities would be provided for the people of the area. This move is aimed at uplifting the living standards of the people across the 12 wards in the LGA.
This was disclosed by the caretaker committee chairman of Bonny Local Government Area of Rivers State, Isobonye Mac-Tobin while addressing the people shortly after being inaugurated.
Mac-Tobin pledged to ensure that all aspects of the Bonny community were affected by his programmes and policies. He said this would include opposition political parties in the area, whom he asked to nominate beneficiaries to be included in the empowerment scheme.
His chief press secretary, Kingsley Jumbo told TNN that his boss was poised on running an all-inclusive administration that would touch the lives of every facet of the community.
Jumbo appealed to all relevant stakeholders to cooperate with the CTC chairman to move the LGA forward, assuring that no one would be left out of the scheme of things during Mac-Tobin's administration.
