Alwell Egbugue Austine, an Ordinary National Diploma, OND, certificate holder from Federal Polytechnic Nekede, Marketing Department has embraced acting and movie directing as a means of generating income to enable him further his education to the Higher National Diploma.
The determined script writer attributed his persistence to the death of his mum, whom he said provided him and his siblings with all they needed, before she died.
“My mum is late; she died about 10 years ago, when she was alive, we lacked nothing. We had the best of everything we needed but today, death has deprived me and my siblings the opportunity to just ask.
“My mum vowed that all her children must go to school, but now she can't even see us through school. The least I can do is to struggle it out to ensure that her wish for us to become something in life is achieved.”
The genius in script writing told TNN entertainment that the reason for his easy adaption into the industry was as a result of his talent and early experience in church and school.
“Acting has always been my most dominant talent. I love it, apart from acting, I also direct and write scripts. It's a trait I have harnessed through my involvement in church and school drama”.
Wondering how long it will take for him to raise enough money to return to school coupled with his responsibilities to his siblings, he said “I won't wait to gather it all, I am a hustler. My fingers are blessed, everything I do, I succeed. It's just a matter of time. I will soon go back to school and continue from there”.
