Dickson: Payroll Fraudsters, Professional Bayelsa Beggars Can’t Be Rich

Bayelsa State governor, Seriake Dickson has placed what can easily pass for a curse on people who perpetrate payroll fraud in the state. He says they can never be rich from the proceeds of their sweat less earnings.

Apart from those in this class, Dickson has is also not happy with those that have now come to be known as professional Bayelsa beggars. He told journalists in the state that their conduct was demeaning.

Bayelsa East Senatorial District: Will The Zoning Principle Continue?

The Bayelsa East Senatorial District is made up of three local government areas. They are Ogbia, Nembe and Brass.  Since 1999, the Bayelsa East Senatorial District has held on tenaciously to the gentleman's agreement of zoning the senatorial seat amongst the three local government areas that form the zone. Though political zoning has no constitutional backing in Nigeria, political analysts believe that the formula engenders equity and fairness to avoid political hegemony against weaker regions.
