Still On The Prevailing Insecurity In C'River

Although during the early years of the current democratic dispensation in Nigeria, Cross River State like most states in the South South geopolitical zone of the country was faced with serious security challenges. While militancy held sway in other states namely Bayelsa, Rivers, Delta, Edo and a little bit in Akwa Ibom, Cross River was renowned in cultism, assasination and communal clashes.

Eleme Junction Interchange: Lively In The Day, Deadly At Night

By comparison, the most modern flyover, technologically speaking, and the most beautifully designed in Rivers State, nay the South-South and even the South-East, is the Eleme flyover. Little wonder it is called an interchange. Many others merely fulfil the function of decongesting a usually busy area of the road. And so motorists drive up and above the existing roads in order to avoid the usually heavy traffic predominant in such places where the flyovers were built.
