The Cross River State governor, Prof Ben Ayade recently made history when he announced the appointment of over a thousand persons as personal aides and so on. The appointments range from special advisers to senior special assistants, special assistants, personal assistants, agency directors and so on and so forth. Though all are by designation the governor's aides, several of them were deployed to work with commissioners and other officials.
