Medical Doctor Floats Robbery Gang In A’Ibom

Frequent cases of robbery, rape of nurses on duty and other forms of harassments to medical personnels at primary health care centre, Okobo, in the Okobo Local Council Area of Akwa Ibom may have ended, with the arrest of three suspects and the recovery of stolen hospital equipment in the house of a medical doctor in the area.

C’River: 2019 Guber Race And The Search For Merit

At the inception of the current democratic dispensation, Cross River assumed a binary political disposition with two major political parties blazing the trail in electoral contest. The defunct All Peoples Party (APP) and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) were the prominent political platforms that offered opportunities for people to ventilate their aspirations for political leadership in the state. It is on record that these parties had major gladiators drawn from the length and breadth of the state, jostling to take a shot at the Peregrino House in Calabar. Their individual credibility, strength of character and track records were the virtues that stood them out as they offered themselves to serve our people. There was no bias as to where they came from, neither was there any sentimental coloration attached to their enthnogeographic set up in the state

C’River APC Crisis: Beginning Of The End

After about two years without a substantive chairman, the Cross River State chapter of the APC can now boast of one. Although there have been disquiet of some sort, the party now has someone to drive the opposition boat. The party conducted a special congress on Saturday, 24 February, leading to the emergence of Mr Godwin Etim John. John Ochala had been the acting chairman since 2015.
