On The Crisis In Rivers APC

By November 2nd, the curtain would have closed. INEC would have shut its doors against political parties wishing to substitute their candidates' names for the gubernatorial elections. What that means is that if the crisis currently crippling the APC in Rivers State is not resolved, the party would automatically not be able to field any candidate again.

Diobu Residents Groan As Hoodlums Launch More Attacks

Residents of Diobu, a suburb of Port Harcourt city, Rivers State, are having sleepless nights as armed marauders attack them with impunity, without much help from the police.

TNN gathered that the pattern of attack appear like organized crime where residents are disposed of their belongings by the hoodlums. In some cases, it looks like cult related operations.

Rivers Apc Members Are Confused People, Says Wike's Men

 A group under the aegis of Governor's Liaison Officers (GLO) has described members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers state as a bunch of confused people.

The coordinator, Ebere Owhonda, who stated this while speaking to newsmen in Port Harcourt said that APC was confused in the sense that they don't know how to go about selecting their gubernatorial candidates.

C’River Guber Race: Usani Wasting His Time, Says NWC

South- south national vice chairman of the APC, Mr Hilliard Ettah has  affirmed that Senator John Owan Enoh remains the candidate of the party for the 2019 gubernatorial election in Cross River State.

Ettah who is also a member of the party's National Working Committee, NWC, told TNN in a telephone interview that the Niger Delta minister, Usani Uguru Usani was labouring in vain and could not upturn the decision of members of the party who chose Owan Enoh as their candidate.

Cameroon's Secret Service Officials Whisk Away 8 Refugees From C’River

At least eight Cameroonians seeking refuge in Calabar, the Cross River state capital, have been whisked away by secret service officials from Cameroon for allegedly holding a meeting to topple President Paul Biya.

The Cameroonian authorities have been wary of the activities of separatist movements in southern Cameroon which the separatists have christened Ambazonian Republic. Consequently, a number of spies have swarmed Cross River in search of the separatists.

Bayelsa Guber Aspirants Panic Over Alaibe’s Return To PDP

The ruling Peoples Democratic Party PDP in Bayelsa state penultimate week witnessed a political dynamism as the widely speculated return of Mr. Ndutimi Alaibe to the PDP finally came to fruition.

The former managing director of the Niger Delta Development Commission NDDC left the PDP for the All Progressives Congress, APC, prior to the 2015 governorship election in the state.
