I Weep Daily For Cross River -Eyo Etim Nyong

One of the best brains that Cross River has even produced is Prof Eyo Etim Nyong. In 1999, he almost found his way to the Government House, but for political maneuvering. He was to collapse his structures for Donald Duke who then emerged the governor. Between then and now, Nyong has been there, still a force and a strong voice from the southern region of the state. In this interview with OFONIME UMANAH, Nyong spoke of development efforts of the current government and pilloried the government for taking the state backwards, though expressing the hope that the governor could do better in the days ahead.
