Where Is C’River’s Interest As PDP Elects National Chairman?

As the December 9, 2017 national convention of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) approaches, contestants to the position of the national chairman of the party have been on whistle stop visits to various states to woo state governors and other party chieftains to support their quest. Although the chairmanship slot is zoned to the south-west, PDP top shots in the other geopolitical zones in the south have also joined the race. Uche Secondus and media mogul, Raymond Dokpesi are contestants from the South-south zone also gunning for the position.

Ikaba Ngaji Foundation: Touching Lives, Restoring Dashed Hopes

The Ikaba Ngaji Foundation is living up to the vision of its founder, Jude Ngaji, by touching lives of the less privileged in the society on a very large scale. This is evidenced by the recent medical outreach the foundation conducted in Yala Local Government Area of Cross River State. At least 3,000 people took part in the free eye test that was conducted during the exercise that took place in the 14 wards in the local government area.

Bayelsa Elders Fume Over Abandoned Nembe-Brass Road

Elders and prominent citizens of Nembe and Brass local government areas of Bayelsa State are not happy that the federal government has continued to generate revenue from oil and gas proceeds from their land without bothering to connect the Brass-Nembe communities by road, to the state capital.
